LOVED the food and atmosphere. Truly beautiful small Texas town and this restaurant is a huge surprise in a town of less than 500. Only complaint is that we FROZE seating outside would be much improved with heaters. Appreciated the blankets since we were not prepared for the drastic change in temperature but heaters could have alleviated some of discomfort. We will definitely return!!!
All of our previous experiences here have been great. Our most recent visit was disappointing though. To start, you could tell they tried to make a homemade Caesar dressing for the Caesar salad, which is great! I've done that before and it tasted wonderful... but they just didn't do it well and had a bad recipe. There were big chunks of anchovies, it was very oily, missing the garlic and Parmesan flavor that is typical of Caesar dressing. They used to offer a salad and a side for each entree. Now it's one or the other, so if you get a salad, your meal comes out as just a piece of meat on a plate. I got the filet (I get it every time) and this time it was much more salty than usual. All these little changes really seem pointless and have taken away from the quality you're used to when visiting Perini's.
Indoors had a nice fire going and busy atmosphere. The waitress I had was perfectly attentive.
Came here solo while visiting from out of town. It was a Tuesday night and the wait would have been about an hour so I opted to sit outside. The tables are long picnic tables and nobody was choosing outdoor seating as it was a bit chilly.
I had the rib eye. It had a nice char, perfect temp. Enjoyed a Ranch Salad and the Strawberry Shortcake.
Perfect Texas experience for an out of towner like me. Their dedicated employees and real Texas food is out of this world. Wish we had you in Seattle. Thank you for such a great visit.
Their location is a nice getaway and actually cooler in late afternoon when it can be very hot during the summer months. It offers a nice getaway from any city structures. Their meat is top notch. They ran out of prime rib early on and so I decided to have the rib eye, which was VERY good! It was properly seasoned and cooked to order. My only reason for not giving a five star review was their service. It appears as if they hire lots of teenagers during the summer months and with that, you do not get the best in mannerisms. Our waitress seemed focused on rushing us through dinner. Who rushes through steak? Food and location are a huge plus, but service can be a tad improved.
